Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a woman died in hospital of injuries sustained in a road traffic incident in Co Donegal last week.
The woman, aged in her 80s, was seriously injured when a car collided with two pedestrians on Main Street in Buncrana on Tuesday afternoon. She died at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday. An Garda Síochána said the coroner had been notified and a postmortem would be arranged.
“Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward. Road users who were travelling on Main Street, Buncrana between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday are urged to contact gardaí if they have any information or dash-cam footage.”

Meanwhile, a male pedestrian has been killed in a road collision in Co Cavan. The man, aged in his 40s, was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the N54 at Plush, Cloverhill at around 10.45pm on Saturday.
The man’s body was taken to the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital, where a postmortem examination will take place.
A man aged in his 20s who was driving the car involved was uninjured.
The road remained closed on Sunday morning pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward. – PA
