Celebrate Galentine’s with these two variations on rosé

Wines for the Weekend: The Provence rosé comes in a magnum to add drama to any gathering

A Languedoc rosé and a dry Prosecco: two great wines for celebrating with friends
A Languedoc rosé and a dry Prosecco: two great wines for celebrating with friends

This week, two suggestions for celebrating Galentine’s with friends this evening or tomorrow.

It is de rigueur to serve Provence rosé from a magnum, the equivalent of two bottles. The Solas here may come from next door in the Languedoc but it’s every bit as good and possibly better than many Provence rosés.

If you have a gang, a magnum does look great and add a touch of style to the proceedings.

I am not a huge fan of Prosecco, but I know I am in a minority. The Le Contesse rosé is a Brut wine, meaning it has less sugar than Dry or Extra Dry Prosecco. It is made from a blend of glera and pinot noir grapes.
