For that pesky missing link between Spiritualized, Sparklehorse, Spaceman 3, Primal Scream, Jesus & Mary Chain and Mogwai, Edinburgh's Delta Mainline might just be the band that joins the dots. Of course, the latter three outfits share socio-cultural links with Delta Machine, so perhaps there's something in the Scottish water that attracts like-minded souls. Whatever the reason, the members of Delta Mainline have not only learned from the best but have also adapted the results into a focused and seamless whole. Tracks such as Misinformation, The Church Is Up for Sale, Florentine Regime and Dark Energy directly echo the title of the band's 2010 EP – In a World full of Madness, the Simple Joy of Melody Can Pull You Through .
