A builder charged with deception offences totalling €66,000 against individuals in south Co Dublin has been remanded on bail pending directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Stephen O’Grady (37), of Johnstown Place, Johnstown Road, Cabinteely, Co Dublin, appeared before Judge Ciaran Liddy at Dublin District Court on Wednesday following an investigation by detectives at Blackrock Garda Station.
He faces two charges under section 6 of the Theft and Fraud Act for deceiving a man and woman in Killiney out of €25,000 between July and October last year, and €41,000 from a man in Stillorgan from March to May 2026.
Det Garda Catherine Larkin told the judge that O’Grady made no reply when charged.

There was no objection to bail with conditions accepted by the accused to provide a contact phone number and restrict him from providing construction work.
He has yet to enter a plea and will appear at Dún Laoghaire District Court on November 25th.
