Corporate quiz raises €51,000 for Dublin Simon

Thirteenth year of corporate challenge run by the Business Journalists’ Association of Ireland

The annual corporate challenge run by the Business Journalists' Association of Ireland (BJAI) raised €51,000 for the Dublin Simon Community.

This is the 13th year that the Corporate Challenge quiz has taken place and the event has raised more than €350,000 for Dublin Simon Community to date.

Public relations company Gordon MRM was the overall winner of the quiz, seeing off completion from 40 other teams to win a Waterford Crystal trophy after finishing with a score of 58 points out of a possible 80.

The Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation was the runner-up with 56 points.

The corporate challenge is open to all companies interested in helping to raise funds for Dublin Simon Community and attracts some of the top names from the worlds of law and business every year.

RTÉ news anchor Bryan Dobson returned as quizmaster and Mr Justice Peter Kelly, presiding judge of the Commercial Court, adjudicated on the night for an event sponsored by BT Ireland, KBC Bank and the Dublin Airport Authority. Corporate Reputations handled the PR and event management.

Speaking at the event, BJAI chairwoman Laura Noonan said: “We have been proud to support the outstanding work of the Simon Community for more than a decade but without the support of so many people events like the quiz couldn’t happen.”

“We rely on independent fundraising initiatives like this to support the work we do and we’d like to thank the BJAI for being such a long-term partner for Dublin Simon Community and for organising this unique and fun fundraising idea.”
