Private equity firm Brehon Capital Partners has announced that Paul Connolly has joined the company's board as non-executive chairman.
Mr Connolly is the founder of Connolly Capital, a boutique investment banking firm, and is a director at Independent News & Media, APN News & Media and Communicorp. He is chairman of Unicef Ireland and acts as a senior adviser to Credit Suisse.
Kevin McGillycuddy of Brehon Capital Partners, said: “We are delighted to have someone with Paul’s business experience and financial expertise join our board. It’s another milestone on Brehon’s rapid growth path since the business was established in 2011. We now have over €400 million assets under management and the non-executive oversight will provide us with the right framework to continue our investment programme and also successfully manage and develop our existing portfolio.”

Last week Brehon completed the acquisition of Killashee House Hotel for €13 million.
