One of the world's top food manufacturers, Mars Ireland, is relocating its Irish headquarters to the Chase Building in Sandyford, Co Dublin, where it is to occupy 1,250sq m (13,466sq ft) on the sixth floor.

The company has agreed to pay a rent of €248 a sq m (€23 a sq ft) for part of the sixth floor under a 15-year lease with a break option at the end of the seventh year.

The company, which is noted for its chocolate candy, petcare, beverage and other food products, will also have the use of 17 car-parking spaces.

The family-owned company has been trading since 1911.

Keith O’Neill of agents BNP Paribas is joint letting agent with Allsops for The Chase building, which has an overall floor area of 16,000sq m (172,224sq ft) over eight floors.

He is quoting rents of €301.39 a sq m (€28 a sq ft) for remaining office space and €1,750 for car-parking spaces.
