One of the top wedding venues near the Kildare/Dublin border, Leixlip Manor and Gardens Hotel, goes for sale on Wednesday through agents CBRE.
John Ryan of that agency is seeking offers in excess of €2.3 million for the 29-bedroom boutique hotel in Leixlip which is operated by the Towey Group.
It has almost 100 wedding receptions on the books for this year alone.
Leixlip Manor is the centrepiece of 27 acres of beautiful parkland with four acres of formal gardens including an attractive Victorian-walled garden with a generous mixture of mature trees.
Leixlip is less than 18km from the centre of Dublin and with its excellent road and rail infrastructure, it is almost considered a Dublin suburb. It is best known as the venue for Intel Ireland’s $12 billion (€10.6 billion) campus.
Leixlip Manor is a tastefully restored 18th century Georgian country house originally known as St Catherine’s Park. It has a basement catering kitchen, an excellent banqueting room and 10 guest bedrooms, including four suites. There are 19 further bedrooms in the restored courtyard stable blocks, each with its own unique style as well as several meeting rooms.
Ryan said the hotel operates for 10 months of the year from March through to December. The sale offered further business development opportunities or, alternatively, the manor could revert to its original role as a substantial private residence.
