A 21-acre site with planning permission for 164 homes at Kildare town was withdrawn at auction at €4.725 million and sold later for a considerably higher price.

Bidding for the Tully Road land opened at €2.6 million and with four parties chasing it. It was eventually withdrawn and sold later for a “significantly higher figure” to a developer represented by a Dublin-based law firm. The sale was handled by Maynooth estate agent REA Coonan.

Planning

The site is the only one with multiple planning permission in Kildare town. The scheme was designed by McCrossan O’Rourke Manning and provides for a 10-year permission from April 2013.
