Sir, – From the get-go I am, like, in total agreement with Brid McIntyre (Letters, August 27th) when she writes about the meaningless vocabulary creeping into the English language.
I am sure you know what I mean when I say, like, I have no time for prepping in the kitchen, pointing from the sideline or medalling in the races. As for the weather forecast, I would really love to know what “largely dry” means. Sure, you know, I’ll just have to put up with it and just chill. Aahm, yeah, that’s for sure. – Yours, etc,
