Sir, – How come every November and December roadworks appear on so many of our roads, mostly smaller roads? There are stop and go signs everywhere. Ditches are being cleaned out, hedges cut and everything tidied.
While I salute the idea, please please could this be done earlier in the year? My theory is that the various councils have not used up their allowance for upkeep of roads and so they “go for it” at this time of the year.
Please county councils, could this be looked at in 2026? – Yours, etc,
