Wine, Buffalo Woman and song

Neil Watkins serves up a deliciously dark night of decadence and dinner

Dinner and a Show

Dublin Whiskey Company

****

Neil Watkins returns to the Fringe after the triumph of The Year of Magical Wanking, but this time he has an altogether more palatable offering.

Dinner and a Show is essentially a supper club for around 50 people, but Watkins imbues it with his own sleek, artistic vision. We are seated at benches facing Watkins's band, Buffalo Woman, and throughout the room are scattered his gorgeous Gothic assistants. Watkins introduces each song with a personal story; intriguing and adventurous food is presented in imaginative ways; between tracks, the assistants burst into song, dance or poetic plosions; and throughout it all, Watkins is master of ceremonies, executing his duties with charm and warmth.
