Celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna is to expand her food operation into south Dublin with plans for a new restaurant at the long-established Blackrock Centre.
The success of Clodagh's Kitchen in Arnotts in the city centre prompted the chef to open a second outlet in the Blackrock, according to joint letting agents BNP Paribas Real Estate and Savills.
The new restaurant, due to open this summer, will extend to 350sq m (3,750sq ft) and will seat 120 diners. It will occupy a split-level site with frontage internally over the mall and externally to the busy commuter route along Rock Road.
A recent investment of
€2 million by Superquinn has helped to trigger a 15 per cent increase in footfall.
