Misconduct charges are to be brought against Toulon players Martin Castrogiovanni and Delon Armitage following incidents in the European Champions Cup game against Leicester at Welford Road.

EPCR, who govern European club rugby, investigated referred to them by the English club after they won 25-21 against the two-time defending European champions.

Italian prop Castrogiovanni, a former Leicester player, launched an expletive-filled attack on Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill, while Armitage got involved in a verbal row with home supporters after the final whistle.

EPCR outlined the case against each player in a press release.
