While the National Conferring of Registered Professional Titles and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony is the final conferring event of the calendar year, Engineers Ireland also runs a series of regional conferring and volunteer recognition events to recognise the achievements of engineers within their regions.
This year, Engineers Ireland held regional events in Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Mullingar and London over the past few weeks. That members can be conferred with their Professional Title, one of the most momentous occasions in their professional lives, near their homes or where they grew up, or where they work is a hallmark of the community focus of Engineers Ireland. These conferring ceremonies emphasise the organisation’s geographic reach into every corner of this island and beyond, and its focus on building connections between peers and colleagues.
