When it comes to celebrating Irish enterprise, few events capture the spirit of resilience, innovation, and community quite like the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards. Returning for its fifth consecutive year on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, and proudly sponsored by PTSB, the awards promise to be more than just a gala evening – they’re a showcase of the very best of Irish business, culture, and creativity.
This year’s ceremony will take place at an exciting new venue, soon to be revealed, and will welcome over 400 members of the Guaranteed Irish network. For one night only, the spotlight will shine brightly on businesses of every size and sector who are making an impact in Ireland and beyond.
A celebration of Irish enterprise
Since its inception, the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards have established themselves as one of the most anticipated events in the Irish business calendar. The awards are not just about trophies – they represent recognition of the values that sit at the heart of the Guaranteed Irish licence: jobs, community, and provenance, all supporting the Irish economy in a sustainable manner.
Past winners have included a range of companies across sectors from Kilsaran, Ballymore, Clonakilty and Uniquely to Caroline Duffy (see main image), Cash & Carry Kitchens and Petstop - each one united by their ability to innovate, sustain employment, and invest back into their local communities. These success stories illustrate why the awards have grown year on year.

What’s new for 2026
The 2026 awards bring with them fresh energy and ambition. For the first time, two new categories have been added: Guaranteed Irish small business of the year, and an energy and utilities award.
The introduction of a dedicated small business category acknowledges the backbone of the Irish economy – the entrepreneurs and SMEs who create local jobs, serve their communities, and often take their first steps into global markets with courage and creativity. The energy and utilities category reflects the growing importance of sustainability and innovation in powering Ireland’s future.
Alongside these, the awards will continue to celebrate excellence across key industries including sustainability, retail and ecommerce, construction, food and beverage, technology, and pharmaceuticals. A panel of independent industry leaders will judge the entries, selecting finalists who demonstrate not only commercial success but also a commitment to Ireland and its communities.
A night of style
If last year’s awards were anything to go by, the green carpet will once again set the stage for a night of glamour with an Irish twist. Guests can expect to see the best of Irish fashion, design, and beauty woven into the evening, from the clothes worn to the music played, and even the menu served.
Why these awards matter
The Guaranteed Irish symbol is more than just a badge – it represents a commitment to supporting jobs, communities, and the Irish economy. At a time when businesses are navigating shifting economic and social landscapes, these values are more important than ever.
Brid O’Connell, chief executive of Guaranteed Irish, says the awards highlight what makes Irish businesses unique.
“Now in its fifth year, the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards is continuing to shine a spotlight on the innovation, resilience, and community impact of our members, trusted businesses operating in Ireland. These awards celebrate more than just commercial success – they honour the commitment of our members to quality, jobs, and supporting the Irish economy. We’re proud to recognise the businesses that not only excel in their industries but also support each other in their supply chains and champion the values of Guaranteed Irish every day.”
More than just awards
While the gala itself will be a highlight of the business calendar, the impact of the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards stretches far beyond one evening. For many finalists, the recognition translates into increased visibility, stronger consumer trust, and valuable opportunities for growth and a chance to do business together.
These are the ripple effects the awards are designed to create – supporting businesses so that they, in turn, can support Ireland. In recent years, consumer awareness of local supply chains feeding into sustainability has grown, fuelled by a desire to strengthen these supply chains, reduce environmental impact, and keep profits circulating in local communities.
The Guaranteed Irish Business Awards amplify this movement. They remind us that when we choose to support businesses based in Ireland – homegrown and international – whether it’s through what we buy, how we bank, or where we invest, we’re contributing to a stronger, more resilient Ireland. In research conducted in 2025 by Red C, 81 per cent of respondents agree that the Guaranteed Irish brand stands out from other brands, in its genuine support for Irish jobs, communities and a circular economy.
One thing is certain: on March 5th, the green carpet will roll out once again, celebrating the best of Irish enterprise in all its forms.
