Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year award.

His autobiography, I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic, written with the journalist and author David Lagercrantz and translated to English by Ruth Urbom, tells the story of his life from a youngster in poverty through to his career success.

The Paris St Germain player would become the first active player to land the award, which comes with a £25,000 (€29,350) prize, should he take it when the winner is announced on November 27th.

Also shortlisted is the Sunday Times journalist David Walsh, a key figure in exposing doping offenders in cycling, for his book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong.
