Leinster champions St Joseph's, Fairview, will be at full strength for tomorrow evening's All-Ireland Schools' Cup final clash with Summerhill in Mullingar (Dalton Park, 5.30) where the Dubliners will be trying to win their first national title since 1992.
The Sligo school were amongst their victims that year, they beat them in the semi-finals, but this time, admits coach Brendan Leahy, it is the team from the west who will see themselves as favourites to retain the cup they won so impressively last year.
The Dubliners' prospects will rest in no small part on the performances of players like centre-half Kevin Doherty, signed last month by Liverpool from Home Farm and midfielder Gary Duff, a youngster who actually plays in goal for his club side, Bohemians, but who scored all four of his school's goals in the semi-final defeat of St MacCartan's.
