Tickets for the home leg of Ireland’s World Cup play-off will go on general sale next Friday at 11am, the FAI has announced, with prices starting at €30 for adults and €20 for children.
The draw for the play-off is due to be made in Zurich on Tuesday with Ireland facing the prospect of a two legged tie again Italy, Denmark, Switzerland or Croatia. The order of the games will also be drawn by lots.
Restrictions on the FAI’s access to the Aviva stadium due to the rugby international against South Africa, however, mean that Ireland’s home leg is likely to be on either November 9th or 14th, depending on whether Martin O’Neill’s side is drawn at home first or second. The corresponding away dates would be the 12th and 11th respectively. If it is the latter, the away leg would kick off less than an hour after the rugby match concludes.
Advance sales of tickets for the home game will open for season ticket and premium seat holders next Wednesday, also at 11am. Applications for away tickets need to be made at http://away.fai.ie.
