Basketball: Now that Tralee Tigers are the only unbeaten team left in the Superleague the motivation for someone to rid them of that lofty status will increase as each game goes on.
This week, they will have to better an improving Killester at home as the competition is spiced up once more by another cross-conference weekend.
If Tony Atchison and Clyde Ellis can continue their free-scoring ways expect Killester to take the spoils, though this game is shaping up to be a match that will establish whether the Tigers are real title contenders.
Tolka Rovers will be desperate to put a halt to their disastrous start to the campaign, which has seen them go four games without a win, when they entertain the UCC Demons.
In the other big tie of the weekend, UCD Marian face Neptune. Cork's Kenny Gamble will look to gain attention for his on-court performance, after he was disqualified for an altercation with three St Vincent's players last week.
In the women's Superleague, Glanmire's preparations for their match against Tolka Rovers have been marred by the loss of captain Sarah-Jane O'Connell after she aggravated a knee injury that already ruled her out last season.
