Clare will face defending champions Tipperary in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland SHC.

Meanwhile Wexford will face Waterford, who earned their place in the draw thanks to an extra-time win over Kilkenny on Saturday.

Clare were in Monday morning’s quarter-final draw after they were beaten 1-25 to 1-20 by a resurgent Cork in Sunday’s Mnster SHC final.

Tipp meanwhile thrashed Dublin on Saturday, running out 6-26 to 1-19 winners in Thurles.

Waterford needed extra-time to shake off a dogged Kilkenny on Saturday evening, eventually pulling away from Brian Cody’s side to win 4-23 to 2-22.

And they face a difficult obstacle in Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford, who dropped into the quarters after they were comprehensively beaten by Galway in the Leinster SHC final.

The ties are due to take place on July 23rd, with venues and times due to be confirmed after a CCCC meeting later on Monday.

Cork’s redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh is set to host both games, but again this will be confirmed later on Monday.
