8 min: Evra wins another corner for United and Nani delivers. The visitors again claim a handball by City captain Kompany, but replays show it struck his chest this time.
14 min: Samir Nasri jinks inside from the right, beating a number of United players before slipping the ball to Carlos Tevez. His low cross is turned away by Phil Jones.
19 min: Kompany is harshly booked after Wayne Rooney appears to kick his foot when releasing a pass in the centre circle.
25 min: Sergio Aguero volleys high and wide after Rooney miscues a clearance and Joleon Lescott flicks it into the Argentine’s path.
29 min: A little scuffle between Rooney and Kompany slows the game and eases pressure on United after a good City spell.
34 min: Referee Andre Marriner talks to Rooney and Patrice Evra after the striker is angered by a Tevez tackle on Jones.
40 min: Aguero’s shot is deflected wide after a brilliant turn and break from Tevez in midfield leaves Carrick and Ji-Sung Park for dead.
42 min: Nani’s short corner to Park is skied over by the Korean.
45+ min: A goal from Kompany after he outjumps Chris Smalling to head home a David Silva corner in injury time after a dominant 25 minutes from the home side.

53 min: Yaya Toure is booked for an angry reaction to conceding a free after blocking off Ryan Giggs.
58 min: Nasri turns and shoots wide after Gareth Barry sends a cleared corner back into the box. Danny Welbeck replaces Park for United.
62 min: Toure fires a low cross goalwards but it is turned away by the foot of David De Gea.
65 min: Rooney shows his frustration as Jones’s cross sails high over his head and out for a throw.
68 min: Nigel De Jong replaces Tevez as Roberto Mancini looks to protect his defence.
70 min: Jones is booked for a lunge on Barry.
72 min: Rio Ferdinand gives the ball to Silva who sets Toure away. The midfielder advances and fires a low shot just wide.
76 min: De Jong is booked for a bad tackle on Welbeck, leading to an exchange of words between the two managers. Each accuses the other of talking too much.
78 min: Antonio Valencia replaces Paul Scholes. Carrick is booked for a tackle on Barry.
82 min: Toure again advances and curls a left-footed shot just wide of the post. Aguero aggrieved at being ignored by his teammate. Micah Richards replaces Silva, Ashley Young on for Nani.

88 min: Pablo Zabaleta gets to the byline and squares for Aguero but it finds Gael Clichy. His shot is sweetly struck but not good enough to beat De Gea.
90 min: Nasri fails to get his shot away yards from goal after Toure breaks. Mancini is not impressed. Five minutes added. The Home fans are not impressed.
93 min: James Milner comes on for Nasri.
95 min: Evra wins a corner from Zabaleta, Clichy clears. Carrick finds Rooney (right), whose shot is blocked. Joe Hart is fouled by Smalling.
