A chara, – I’ve just caught up with Laura Kennedy’s experience of buying Irish food in Australia (“I bought 19 bags of Tayto as an act of patriotism”, Life, July 31st).
She says she finds her fix of Tayto and other Irish products in the UK goods section of her local shop.
In the large supermarket I use in Edinburgh, Tayto, Barry’s tea, etc, are readily available in the aisle marked “Eastern European and Asian”. And they are northern Tayto, but that’s another story! – Is mise,
