Ten people have appeared in New Ross District Court to face charges in connection with the death of Lars Eric Magnus Forsmark (31).

The eight men and two women were arrested in the town this morning. They include a local publican and his wife.

Some of the accused were charged with violent disorder and reckless endangerment, while others face charges of impeding the apprehension or prosecution of others.  All ten were remanded in custody.

Mr Forsmark, who was Swedish, died as a result of injuries sustained in an early morning fracas in New Ross last July.
