Low-fare airline Ryanair has seen a 43 per cent jump in passenger numbers in November compared with the same month last year.

Low-fare airline Ryanair has seen a 43 per cent jump in passenger numbers in November compared with the same month last year.

The passenger numbers are slightly down on the October figures of close to 1.4 million, details released this morning show.

The company carried just under 1.25 million people in November, up from over 870,000 in the same month last year.

The load factor - a measure used by airlines to show how full their planes are - climbed 5 per cent from 79 per cent last year to 84 per cent.

Seats sold via the company's website made up 94 per cent of total sales, compared to 89 per cent last year.
