A woman in her 50s has died after a two-car collision in Co Antrim last night, the PSNI has said.

A woman in her 50s has died after a two-car collision in Co Antrim last night.

The collision took place near the Marine Highway in Carrickfergus .

Chief Inspector Natalie Wilson of the PSNI said a Green Suzuki Ignus and a Black Seat Leon had collided shortly before 8pm.

Two men were taken to hospital for treatment but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The road between Troopers Lane and the Marine Highway was closed to allow for forensic collision investigators to examine the scene.
