A man has died in a house fire in Co Donegal.
Emergency services were called to a house at Carnmalin in Malinhead, Co Donegal, shortly after midnight, a garda spokesman said.
He said the house was completely destroyed by the fire and that man in his 40s was taken from the property and pronounced dead at the scene.
A technical examination of the scene is currently underway, the results of which will inform the course of the Garda inquiry.
