A 19-year-old man has appeared in court in Co Monaghan charged with the murder of a man who died in a house fire three years ago.
Aaron McDonagh, of no fixed address, was charged at a special court sitting in Monaghan with the murder of Gerry Marron (61), who lived at St Macarten's Villas in Carrickmacross.
Mr Marron died in the fire which engulfed his home on March 21st, 2016.
Mr McDonagh was arrested by gardaí at Dundalk railway station on Sunday night.

The court was told that when charged at Carrickmacross Garda station with the alleged murder of Mr Marron by starting the fire in the house, Mr McDonagh replied: “What murder?”
Mr McDonagh was remanded in custody to a further sitting at Cloverhill District Court on Thursday.
