Ireland's oldest citizen, Nora Canavan, from Doolin, Co Clare, has died at the age of 108.
The mother-of-seven celebrated her 108th birthday last March.
Nora was a grandmother-of-10, a great-grandmother-of-eight and great-great-grandmother-of-two.
Nora was known throughout the area for her age, her faith and her handcraft skills, which included knitting.

Tribute
Local priest Fr Conor Cunningham paid tribute to Nora, saying she was a woman of great faith.
“Nora was full of gratitude to God for her many years of faith, family and friendship. She was . . . an outstandingly supportive and encouraging parishioner.”
She will be laid to rest following funeral Mass on Friday, July 22nd, at the Holy Rosary church in Doolin at 12pm.
