Production management is an interdisciplinary career

Production management is an interdisciplinary career. Graduates of interdisciplinary degrees in engineering and business studies would be suited to the job.

New graduates generally earn £17,000 to £23,000, although depending on industry demands, they can earn up to £30,000 starting out.

The CAO second-round cut-off points for production management at UL in 2001 were 300, down 25 points on the previous year.

Although most engineering jobs are male dominated, production management in UL takes in 10 to15 per cent female students each year.
