Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an incident in north Belfast.

Police said they were called to the scene of a disturbance at Woodvale Drive in the city.

A number of men were taken to hospital to be treated for what were described as serious injuries.

Superintendent Darrin Jones has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

He said: "At this stage police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and would appeal to anyone with any information to contact officers in Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
