A 51-year-old man has died after his motorcycle hit an embankment outside Blessington, Co Wicklow.
The incident happened on the Wicklow Gap road between Hollywood village and the Kingriver Bridge at about noon.
The injured man was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital where he later died.
The road was closed for a Garda forensic collision examination and diversions were in place.
