Man held over €12,000 in cash missing from Kevin St Garda station

The arrest was made following an internal investigation into the missing money

A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of €12,000 in cash over a period of time from Kevin Street Garda station in Dublin.

A spokesman for the gardaí confirmed a man (41) was held in connection with the missing money.

The arrest was the result of an “internal investigation” into the incident, according to a spokesman.

The man is being held in Crumlin Garda station in Dublin, and was arrested on Sunday September 24th.

The cash was taken over a period of time from the Dublin city centre station, and in total is believed to amount to €12,000.

The individual arrested is being held under the Section 4 of the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
