Man due in court over €4m Dublin cannabis seizure

A man is due to appear in court on Monday charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis worth an estimated €4 million in Dublin.

Gardaí discovered the haul when they stopped and searched a truck travelling on the N4 at Lucan on Friday.

The driver, a man in his late 40s, was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. The truck was detained for a technical examination.

The man is to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am on Monday.
