A man aged 37 died this morning after an alleged assault at an apartment in Navan, Co Meath, a number of days ago.

The man died at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown following the incident in the apartment at Academy Square, Academy Street, Navan, at about 1.45am last Thursday, April 10th.

It is alleged that the occupants of the apartment had been assaulted by a number of men.

A postmortem examination on the man’s remains is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning, Monday 14th April, 2014.
