A 16-year-old boy has been charged with mugging a woman at a Dublin train station last year.

He is accused of robbery of a woman who allegedly had her Samsung laptop stolen on March 30th, 2014 at Donabate train station.

The boy, who was accompanied to court by his mother, was granted bail by Judge John O’Connor at the Dublin Children’s Court.

He was ordered to appear again later this month.

A ruling will then be made on whether the case will proceed in the Children’s Court or instead be sent forward to the Circuit Court which has tougher sentencing powers.
