When will you be able to afford your first home in Ireland?

The number of first-time buyers under 30 is falling fast. Share your experience here

Home ownership is increasingly out of reach for people under 30. First-time buyers aged 30 or under accounted for less than a quarter of Irish mortgage drawdowns in the first half of this year (compared with 60 per cent in 2004), according to a new report from Banking & Payments Federation Ireland. The Irish Times would like to hear from people who aspire to buy a house, for an upcoming article. Tell us what age you expect to be when you buy your first home. Will it be in Ireland, or will you move elsewhere? Feel free to also tell us a little about yourself and how your experience of the housing market has affected your outlook and political views.
