It's a big price but close to half the €4 million price tag of houses in this small development when they went on sale in 2004.

Grove Wood is a development of around nine houses and some apartments built on the site of a large period home near the corner of Hainault Road and Westminster Road, a short walk from Foxrock village. (Gortanore, a house on three acres that hit the headlines in 2006 when it sold to a developer for €31 million, stands behind the scheme.)

A bright double-height lobby makes for a dramatic entrance. It leads into a downstairs made for parties or big family gatherings.
