City apartment to top £200,000

Furniture retailer Garret O'Hagan is selling his Dublin apartment, a one-bedroom duplex overlooking Temple Bar Square

Furniture retailer Garret O'Hagan is selling his Dublin apartment, a one-bedroom duplex overlooking Temple Bar Square. Lisney is seeking offers in excess of £200,000 for 6 Temple Bar Square, which has around 760 sq ft, a rooftop garden, and some expensive fittings, such as a Bulthaup kitchen.

Garret O'Hagan bought the apartment about three years ago and made several structural changes to the interior.

The first level now has a large entrance hall with a solid maple floor and concealed storage.

There's an airy, open-plan feel to this level, with the only door leading to the long shower room with its power shower and fitted mirrors.

Also off the hall, the bedroom is a comfortable double room with a maple floor and a large, free-standing wardrobe with sliding doors.

Mr O'Hagan replaced the original staircase to the upper floor with a new maple staircase, which leads up to an open-plan living area that runs the full width of the apartment. At one end is a spacious livingroom with floor-to-ceiling windows opening on to a tiny balcony.

At the other end of this space is a kitchen with sleek Bulthaup units on two sides, stainless steel shelves, and space for a small dining table. All appliances will be included in the sale.

A metal staircase rises up to a mezzanine level, where there is room for a home office, and a door to a private roof garden with terrific views of the city.
