Clare, Co Kerry:

Vaseline and Carmex are my go-to products for lips and are always in my bag. Although I try not to overuse them, as that can have a drying-out effect.

I’m trying to kick my addiction to black eyeliner, as I feel it can look harsh, especially in summer. Instead I use a brown eyeliner and smudge it slightly to create a more flattering look.

I know it can be a hassle, but I love taking the time to look after my skin in the evening. I always cleanse, tone and moisturise, and play around with different serums and oils. Clarins and Clinique are my favourites. I have recently discovered micellar water – I’m very late to the game, I know – but it is amazing at taking off stubborn make-up, and now that a lot of brands do their own version, you can pick it up quite cheaply. I use that to remove make-up, followed by a cream cleanser to clean the skin.

Raw honey warning

Recently a reader recommended using raw honey to help with problem skin and to condition hair. A reader has pointed out that raw honey can be dangerous for pregnant women, as it is unpasteurised.
