For International Women's Day  2018 we asked Twitter users to tell us the songs using #IrishTimesTunes that should be added to our empowering, inspiring and motivating playlist for the day that's in it. From Aretha Franklin to Amanda Palmer, Sinead O'Connor to Nina Simone, Beyonce to Dolly Parton, you told us the songs we just had to include. Whether you need a little respect or are sick of your 9-5, you'll find something here to make your International Women's Day even better. Did Beyonce make the cut? Of course she did. Twice. What about a little Annie Lennox? She's in there with Aretha. Dolores O'Riordan, one of our most missed and respected international women is also represented. These songs are for women about women, for women, hear them roar. If you are reading this on The Irish Times app, you can read why the songs made the cut and roar along to the playlist here.
