A man is due in court on Monday in connection with the death of a man in his 60s in a road crash in Co Wexford.

The incident occurred on the N25 near Drinagh at about 1.10am.

Gardaí said a passenger van and an SUV were involved. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to the morgue at Wexford General Hospital for a postmortem examination.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was also brought to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injury.

Gardaí said a man aged in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of offences under the Road Traffic Act.

He is due to appear in Wexford District Court on Monday morning.

Separately, a man in his 50s died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Roscommon.

The incident occurred on a local road at Culleenamore, Kilglass before 7am on Sunday. The man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to come forward.
