Emirates Airlines Ireland country manager, Margaret Shannon, is leaving the Gulf carrier at the end of next month, shortly before it launches it double-daily service from Dublin to Dubai.
Ms Shannon took on the job in October 2011, ahead of the airline’s launch of its Dublin-Dubai service the following January.
It began with one flight a-day on Airbus A320s, but boosted capacity four months later by introducing Boeing 777 craft to the route. It plans to launch a twice-daily service between the two cities on September 1st.
It is understood that Ms Shannon gave her notice three months ago. The airline is now in the process of recruiting a successor.
Emirates employs 25 people in Ireland but has more than 400 Irish people on its payroll worldwide.
