UK retailer Argos is to hire 500 seasonal workers across Ireland in the run up to the peak Christmas shopping season.

Contracts for the customer advisor roles are for part-time positions until the end of the Christmas period.

As well as in-house training, which can be completed from home, new team members will receive a 10 per cent staff discount at Argos.

Andy McClelland, operations manager for Argos in Ireland said: “As we approach our busiest shopping period of the year, we need the extra support in our stores to ensure that we can deliver great service to the hundreds of thousands of customers who shop with us at this time. We are looking for people who are customer focused, passionate and enthusiastic to join our teams.”
