IRISH NATIONWIDE has appointed a receiver to the Priory Hall development in Donaghmede, north Dublin, which was built by property developer Thomas McFeely’s Coalport Developments.

Residents of the development, which is close to the new Clongriffin rail station in north Dublin, were yesterday notified by e-mail of the appointment of Declan Taite of Farrell Grant Sparks as receiver.

The development has been beset with construction issues since it was built.

It is understood that the receiver is currently assessing the situation regarding works that are required to be completed in Priory Hall.

Dublin City Council, which owns more than 20 properties in the development as either social or affordable housing, is to hold a meeting this Thursday to discuss the appointment of a receiver.

It vacated its tenants from the properties on health and safety grounds last year.
