Business leaders including Paypal's Louise Phelan, Vodafone chief executive Anne O'Leary and Merrion Fleet Management commercial director David Wilkinson will sleep out for one night later this month, to raise money for homelessness.
More than 50 business leaders are taking part in the Focus Ireland sleep out on October 16th, which takes place in Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin and in Munster in Cork City Gaol, and is part of a wider campaign to shine a light on the issue of homelessness
Other leaders taking part in the event include Zynga Ireland site director Paul McInerney, Byrne Wallace managing partner Catherine Guy and Brehon Capital Partners managing director Kevin McGillycuddy.
Since 2012 more than €1 million has been raised from Shine A Light Night with over 200 business leaders taking part in the sleepout to date.
Focus Ireland said the funds have been vital to ensure its services have been able to cope with a 43.75 per cent rise in the numbers seeking support since 2012.
