Tipperary have decided not to appeal further against Séamus Callanan’s sending-off in the Allianz Hurling League quarter-final victory against Offaly.
The Drom & Inch forward will now definitely sit out the Waterford semi-final on Sunday April 19th through suspension.
Tipperary failed in their quest to have Callanan’s red card rescinded at Central Hearings Committee level last week.
Premier County chiefs also tried to have the first yellow card issued to Cathal Barrett against Offaly overturned.
They had considered taking Callanan's case to the GAA's Central Appeals Committee but county board PRO Joe Bracken confirmed last night that the matter will not be taken further.
Tipperary had been awaiting the wording of the CHC verdict before deciding whether or not to pursue the next avenue of appeal.
