A chara, – Minister for Justice Helen McEntee reasserts the Government’s response to domestic violence as a “zero tolerance” policy (“New €6.5m domestic violence refuge for women and children opens in Wexford”, News, September 12th).
However, if no effort or serious investigation is carried out into the root cause of this continuous problem, more refuges for victims, more family courts and more prison spaces for offenders will be all the State has to show for its one-dimensional policy of “zero tolerance”. – Is mise,
