Gun manufacturer Remington to pay €64M to Sandy Hook families

For the first time, a gunmaker has agreed to a major settlement over a mass shooting in the US. Remington Arms will pay $73 million to families of four adults and five children murdered by Adam Lanza in the Sandy Hook School massacre in 2012.

US and Ukraine sign minerals deal

US treasury secretary Scott Bessent announced the deal on X, saying it “signals the Trump Administration’s commitment to a free, sovereign, prosperous Ukraine."
