SIPTU are meeting at Liberty Hall today to encourage Dublin city vehicle clampers to end an unofficial strike.
Around 100 general operatives employed by Central Parking Systems (CPS) took action after nearly all internal applicants for supervisory posts were passed over in favour of external candidates.
SIPTU wants them to end the action so that talks can take place with the company.
About 20 clampers who were unofficially picketing two Dublin City Council cleaning depots have removed their pickets.

CPS’ managing director, Mr Neil Cunningham, estimates that a 60 per cent service will be provided to Dublin City Council despite the strike.
